My fiction has been collected in the Pushcart Prize anthology (2019) and my nonfiction in Best American Essays (2017). I am the recipient of a 2019–20 grant for creative writing from Canada Council for the Arts.

For several years, I was an editor of Triple Canopy, where I helped create projects such as Speculations (“The future is ______”) as part of EXPO 1 (2013) at MoMA PS1, New York. As a freelance editor, I have worked on several books for the Museum of Modern Art, New York, including Judson Dance Theater: The Work Is Never Done (2019), Adrian Piper: A Reader (2018), Arbus, Friedlander, Winogrand: New Documents 1967 (2017), and Ralph Lemon (Modern Dance Series, 2016). In 2020, I am acting deputy editor of n+1.

I was born in Waterloo, Ontario, went to university in Montreal, and live in New York.
